Be Honest

Are you training like you're trying to collect every skill at once?

Layering goal on top of goal while also juggling work, relationships, recovery, and the chaos of daily life is basically strapping on a backpack full of bricks and heading straight up a mountain. Sure, you can push through — but you'll pay for it. In energy. In recovery. In joy. (And these days, we NEEED joy.)

I can't dump your backpack for you. But I can help you figure out which bricks are worth carrying, flatten the steepest parts of your path, and make sure your training is actually taking you somewhere you want to go.

Good coaching lightens your load, keeps you moving forward, and reminds you why you started in the first place — so you don't burn out before you even see the view.

Is The Conclave Right For You?

Are you an aerialist who wants to:

  • Spend your limited training time on what actually moves the needle — not random exercises from cookie-cutter programs that eat into your creative energy
  • Train strategically and realistically instead of trying to do everything you've ever been told to do — and burning out trying to keep up
  • Have structure, accountability, and feedback built in so you're not trying to manage everything on your own (neurodivergent friends, I see you)
  • Finally break the cycle of chronic injuries especially if you're navigating hypermobility, overtraining, or fluctuating capacity
  • Make real progress as a multi-passionate aerialist without trying to train everything, all at once
  • Work with a coach to figure out what actually works for your body so you're not guessing — and you can carry that forward long-term
  • Understand your body on a deeper level because you care about how you train — not just what you do

Who it's not for: Beginners. I love supporting new aerialists in building strong foundations, but The Conclave is for seasoned aerialists who've been in the air long enough to have experienced the highs and the hard knocks.

What To Expect

Results that show up regardless of your specific goals.

Every aerialist comes into The Conclave with their own wishlist. My job is to turn those goals into a clear, achievable plan — grounded in solid technique and smart progressions. No matter what's on your list, some results are universal.

Universal Results
  • More stable shoulders
  • More core control & breathing patterns
  • Improved ranges of motion
  • Better proprioception
  • Stronger beats & spins
Past Conclavers Have Achieved
  • First straight-arm inversions
  • Smooth j-flips

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions.

What if I don't follow through?
Let's be honest: the hardest part isn't starting — it's continuing. That's why The Conclave isn't just a program. It's a system designed to help you actually follow through. You'll get structure, check-ins, and support. And if you choose the Guided Track, you'll also get 1:1 coaching, a private accountability group, and personalized video feedback. This is for people who want to stop ghosting their own training.
It feels like a big investment. Is it worth it?
You could hire a mobility coach, a rehab specialist, an aerial coach, a strength coach, a breathwork coach, and a mindset coach… or you could just join The Conclave. It's designed to replace all the disjointed programs and give you the integrated plan your aerial body actually needs — without the 5-figure price tag. And yes, there's a payment plan if you need to space it out.
I'm not sure if I have enough time for this.
I joined a coaching program once when I barely had time to train. I did half the plan. And it still helped me build momentum and consistency without burning out. The Conclave is designed with real-life aerialists in mind. You don't need to do it all. You just need a system that helps you use your time well. Progress doesn't require perfection. It requires intention.
How long until I see results?
This program is 3 months long and designed to get you maximum results within that timeframe. It's up to you to put in the effort, but I'll be here cheering you on. Remember that sometimes results are visible and other times they are a feeling of comfort or lack of pain or restriction.
Do I need to be a professional to join?
Not at all. Most of my clients aren't professionals — they're committed recreational aerialists who want to train smarter, feel better, and make real progress. If you care about your practice and you're tired of doing it alone or doing it wrong, you're in the right place.
I'm currently injured. Can I start this program?
If you have been cleared by a doctor or physio to return to activity, you may begin this program. If you have any limitations or rehab protocols due to prior injury, please let me know in your intake questionnaire and I am happy to work them into your programming.
Will I receive feedback in this program?
If you regularly upload your videos for feedback into TrueCoach, you will receive regular form checks. According to past Conclavers, consistent feedback is the highlight of this program.
I don't live in the United States. May I enroll?
Yes. I coach clients from all over the world. Previous Conclave cycles have included folks from all over the US, Canada, Australia, Kuwait, Jordan, and Europe. Group meetings will be scheduled to best accommodate the time zones represented in your cycle, and recordings will always be made available.
What if I'm not advanced enough?
You're here because you're not where you want to be yet — and that's exactly why The Conclave exists. This program isn't for people who already have it all figured out. It's for aerialists ready to train with purpose, invest in themselves, and stop guessing. If you're serious about improving, you're ready.
What supplies do I need? Do I need a full gym?
I will ask you to purchase some supplies (mini-bands, peanut, etc) that can readily be found online. While you will need access to weights, you can make do with a set of adjustable dumbbells. I will build this program to you — if you have access to a full gym, we will take advantage of it. If not, I will build you a comparable plan with the equipment you do have.
When does the program start?
Cycle 12 officially begins on July 20th and ends on October 17th. Once you're accepted and make payment, you'll receive your membership forms. The questionnaire is due within 24 hours of receipt and baseline video within 3 days. The intro week begins July 20th, with full programming starting July 27th.
What if I enroll but can't complete the program?
If something difficult is happening in your life and you're struggling to keep up, I will work with you privately and give you extra support — which at my discretion might include moving you to a subsequent cycle. However, I do not offer refunds. My commitment to you and prep work begins on the day you enroll.
When will you run this program again?
Yes, The Conclave will run again in October 2026.
Do you offer scholarships or financial aid?
This program requires a significant time investment up front for custom programming as well as daily feedback. As such, I cannot offer scholarships or financial aid. I do, however, offer a significant number of free resources to the community that I encourage you to check out at circusmobility.com.
I think this program is for me but I'm not 100% sure.
Email me at jessica@circusmobility.com to discuss your situation and ask questions. I'm happy to hop on a Zoom call with you.
Who created and coaches in The Conclave?
That's me — Jessica John (she/her). I'm a coach and mentor to performance artists across the globe. With over 30 years of high-level sport experience, I'm a premier skill acquisition specialist for circus artists and pole dancers, from Cirque du Soleil professionals trying to stay healthy on tour to committed enthusiasts trying to fit in training between careers and kids. I am a GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Trainer, Girls Gone Strong Women's Coaching Specialist, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, and certified in the Functional Movement Screen, Progressing Ballet Technique, Integrated Kinetic Neurology, and Precision Nutrition. I am not afraid to ask if I don't know the answer, and I use a range of outside advisers and referrals to help clients meet their goals.
What kind of ROI can I expect? Is it a wise investment of my money, time, and energy?
Getting your first straight-arm inversion. Reaching touchdown in your middle split. Eliminating shoulder discomfort in back flags. The types of results you can expect are dependent on your own goals. What is achieving your goals worth to you?
Do you have suggestions on how to get the most out of our time together?
Yes! Take full advantage of feedback within TrueCoach — upload all requested videos and ask questions if you're unsure. Ask for substitute exercises, progressions, pep talks, or explanations of WHY you're doing something. Carve out time for your training sessions and make that time nonnegotiable. Show up and contribute in the Telegram group if you're in the Guided Track — these are your people.
I'm not very tech savvy. Will I survive this program?
Yes. But truth? There will be some growing pains. The primary delivery mechanism is the TrueCoach app, and it is not without annoyances and glitches. I will ask you to film 1 rep of your exercises and upload them so I can check your form. After that, we'll decide together how much you should film. We will find a system that works for you.
How is this different from other programs?
Because I've bought those programs too — and I couldn't do half the exercises. The ones I could do made my body feel awful. So I checked out. The Conclave isn't just a drill list. It's not a PDF or a random plan. It's a full system based on biomechanics, nervous system regulation, mobility, strength, and skill progression — for aerialists. You'll get a real coach. Real feedback. Real results. Not just reps.
Will I actually get support?
Yes. Inside the app, you'll get coaching, feedback, and a place to ask questions — not just a copy/paste program. If you choose the Guided Track, you'll also get 1:1 coaching calls, personalized video feedback, and access to a private group chat for accountability and mindset support. You are not doing this alone.
What if I don't understand something?
That's on me — not you. The Conclave is designed to be clear, adaptable, and easy to follow — even if you're neurodivergent, rusty, or coaching yourself. And if something does confuse you, just message me directly in the app. I'm here for you.
What happens after the program ends?
The Conclave doesn't just end — it evolves. You'll have the option to continue into the next phase of your training in October, with fresh programming and clear goals. No awkward transition. No training cliff. Just sustainable momentum.
I've tried online coaching before and it didn't work for me.
Same. I've bought programs that looked great on paper but felt awful in my body. There was no feedback, no guidance, no way to adjust when things didn't work — and I quit. The Conclave was built to be the opposite of that. It's adaptive, supported, and grounded in actual human physiology and pedagogy — not just vibes and random straps-bro drills. You'll get feedback. You'll get structure. You'll get better.

Hi, I'm Jessica John.

Jessica John

I'm the founder of Circus Mobility and a coach and mentor to performance artists across the globe. My coaching philosophy is evidence-based and multidisciplinary, addressing technical, strength, mobility, nutrition, psychological, and creative challenges. I use sport and exercise psychology theoretical frameworks to design performance programs that help my clients achieve their goals through habit-based behavior change.
