Find Your Home Here.

Two tiers. One feminist aerial community built for your bodies, brains, and careers. Bro-style coaching left behind.

Aerial Mastery Without Injury & Burnout

A membership for aerialists who want to get nerdy about their training, make progress without burning out, and coach with the latest techniques โ€” in a body that takes a little extra love.

The Parish โ€” Aerial Training Evolved

The path to aerial mastery without injury & burnout.

1

Aerial Body Problemsolving

Learn to move efficiently and prepare not only for the "you" of today but also the "you" of the future โ€” without the stress and anxiety of figuring it all out alone and wondering if you're doing it right.

2

Aerial Breakthrough Sleuthing

Make your dream aerial skills a reality by identifying what is going to help you move the dial quickly toward them while avoiding injury โ€” so that you achieve skills you once thought impossible on a speedy timeline.

3

Aerial Mindset Engineering

Train like a whole person, not a machine, and stop grinding away on someone else's goals. Find genuine motivation to train hard and recover hard by getting crystal clear on why you love aerial and how to inject more of THAT into your workouts.

Aerial Body Problemsolving, Breakthrough Sleuthing, and Mindset Engineering diagram

You're trained.
You're smart.
You're still stuck.

You're training things you found on Instagram because you don't know where to actually start โ€” and with so many resources out there, nothing sticks.

You've hit a plateau that won't budge. You wonder if you missed something foundational and now it's costing you the skills you actually want.

Your body feels different every single day โ€” pain flares, hormones, nervous system chaos โ€” and no one is teaching you how to train through that.

You're coaching your students but privately terrified you're passing your own unresolved nags and niggles right onto them.

If you don't finish a full session, it doesn't count. The perfectionism sneaks back in and now you're training less than ever.

You feel alone in your weird little body situation. Your studio doesn't get it. The internet is giving you generic advice. You're winging it.

Everything your
practice has been missing.

Circus Mobility app on desktop and mobile

Your whole practice.
In your pocket.

The Parish lives inside the Circus Mobility app โ€” searchable, organized, and built to adapt to what you need on any given day. Filter by apparatus, topic, or duration. Find what you need in seconds, not scroll-sessions.

Stream on desktop or mobile. Train from your studio, your living room, or your backyard.

The Parish is different
by design.

Not this.

  • Generic fitness advice that ignores circus bodies
  • Bro-science training with toxic "push through it" energy
  • One-size-fits-all programs that don't account for disability, chronic illness, or neurodivergence
  • Dopamine-hit content that apologizes for its mistakes
  • Studio politics, favoritism, and the aerial illuminati
  • Training methods that treat your body like a machine

This.

  • Tangible solutions to complex body problems, built for aerialists
  • Whole-person coaching that holds space for big feelings and big progress
  • An inclusive space that prioritizes BIPOC, queer, trans, nonbinary, disabled, and neurodivergent members
  • Deep knowing that comes from curious, patient, mistake-tolerant practice
  • A feminist AF community that treasures what makes you different
  • Training that respects your nervous system, your hormones, and your actual life

You don't have to fit the mold.
Just crave the community.

The Parish has a soft spot for anyone left behind in traditional training. You don't have to be a coach. You don't have to be advanced. You just have to be curious.

We are particularly calling in...

  • โœ“Aerialists navigating perimenopause with no good resources
  • โœ“Hypermobile folks baffled by how to be stable and mobile at the same time
  • โœ“ADHD and autistic aerialists who need to understand the details
  • โœ“Injured aerialists whose injury history needs multiple pages
  • โœ“Backyard aerialists putting on shows for their squirrels
  • โœ“Coaches who suspect they're teaching the same bad habits they were taught

"Jessica's approach to mobility is a brilliant combination of rehab, research, and flexibility. Being in the Parish, I've done more mobility than I have in my life."

โ€” Michelle Gardner

"I love the brave feminist space that Circus Mobility represents. I feel cared for as an individual rather than part of a business machine."

The Aerial Coach's Sanctum
Sanctum ยท Coach Mentorship

The Parish
is just the beginning.

For experienced aerial coaches done sacrificing themselves to take care of everyone else.

Live Mentorship Calls

Monthly coaching labs where we unpack real situations from your classes โ€” not hypotheticals. You bring what's actually happening. We work through it together.

Full Parish Access

Everything in The Parish โ€” your own practice matters here. Sanctum assumes you are training, not just teaching. Your body stays part of the conversation.

Cardinal Teacher Training

The 200-hour coaching pedagogy foundations program, included. Cardinal is the map. Sanctum is the terrain. Move through it at your own pace alongside real coaching work.

Private Community + Accountability

A private Discord space for closer relationships โ€” where patterns emerge, feedback is expected, and you're reminded you're not carrying this alone. Presence matters here.

Not the right container if you want to be told exactly what to do, if you're not willing to receive feedback, or if you believe your job as a coach is to keep students safe through control. These aren't ideological lines. They're functional boundaries that protect trust.

Sanctum is for coaches ready to take responsibility not just for what they teach โ€” but for how they show up.

Real people.
Real results.

"Jessica's expertise is being able to turn goals into drills that target the anatomy needed to make it happen. Then she gives feedback in a direct, actionable way โ€” without judgment. And she's extremely patient with me and my big feelings."

"Flexibility training used to be a really painful experience for me and not something I'd stuck with for more than a few weeks at a time. Being in the Parish, I've done more mobility than I have in my entire life."

Jessica John, founder of Circus Mobility

Hi, I'm Jessica.

I've been coaching aerial bodies for nearly two decades โ€” and I didn't get here by following a traditional circus path. No circus school. No elite dance pipeline. No allegiance to perfect toe point or self-appointed gurus.

What I've always had is curiosity. The kind that learns by paying attention. Long before aerial, that curiosity showed up in tennis, dance, skiing, and any movement practice that asked me to listen to my body instead of forcing it to perform.

When I stumbled onto aerial silks and dance trapeze in my early thirties, it felt like coming home. Not because it was easy โ€” because the questions I'd been asking my whole life finally mattered.

I became a better coach by looking outside of circus: studying nervous systems, biomechanics, pedagogy, power, and relationship. By noticing where traditional coaching models failed real humans.

  • Nearly 20 years coaching aerialists and movement professionals across all levels and bodies
  • Former CIA leadership analyst โ€” specializing in decision-making, behavior, and power
  • BA, MA, JD โ€” with deep training in analysis, pattern recognition, and ethical responsibility
  • Post-graduate study in biomechanics, nervous system regulation, skill acquisition, and GYROTONICยฎ Methods
  • Founder of Circus Mobility โ€” including The Parish, Sanctum, and Cardinal

The annual option is intentionally emphasized because this work does not reveal its full value in a few weeks. The additional months are not a bonus โ€” they reflect the reality that change takes time.

You have questions.
We have answers.

The Parish is for anyone who wants to deepen their aerial practice โ€” coaches and non-coaches alike. If you're looking for a supportive community that provides tailored resources, encourages personal growth, and embraces diverse abilities, you'll find your place here. Sanctum, however, is designed specifically for aerial coaches.
The Parish is a membership community within the Circus Mobility app โ€” and there is nothing else like it in the aerial or pole space. You get 200+ mobility, handstand, strength, and aerial technique classes across 6 apparatuses, 100+ tutorials, live and recorded deep dives on training topics, freestyle movement prompts, monthly live community classes, a Discord community for feedback and accountability, and priority access to private lessons and the annual Experimental Aerial Meeting.
The Parish covers six aerial apparatuses: silks, aerial hoop, rope, straps, dance trapeze and sling, as well as handstands. Coaches include Jessica John, Brit Crumpton, Jess Allen, Nicole Sirdoreus, Kristi Alyssa, and Bonnie May โ€” with new coaches added regularly.
Not always. Many classes don't require rigging โ€” mobility, handstand, and conditioning work can all be done without apparatus. You do need to be an aerialist (or aspiring one) to get full value from the community, but you don't need to be rigged up every session.
Sanctum is an advanced mentorship container for aerial coaches โ€” not a certification, not a course, and not a mastermind built around business scaling. It's closest to long-term clinical supervision or apprenticeship-style mentorship. It integrates nervous system literacy, movement analysis, pedagogy, ethics, and relational skill into how you actually teach, week to week. You don't "complete" Sanctum. You develop inside it.
Cardinal is the foundational 200-hour aerial teacher training program included with Sanctum. It covers coaching pedagogy and decision-making frameworks, nervous system literacy for teaching and learning, body assessment tools, language for safety and consent, and moving away from control-based coaching. Think of Cardinal as the map and Sanctum as the terrain โ€” Cardinal gives you shared language; Sanctum is where it becomes discernment. The cost of the Cardinal certification exam is included with annual Sanctum membership (or after completing 12 months).
Your Parish subscription will be paused while you're in Sanctum โ€” full Parish access is already included. Nothing is lost. If you leave Sanctum later, your Parish access can be reinstated.
The Parish includes monthly live community classes for movement and connection. Sanctum includes monthly mentorship and coaching lab calls, case study and collective inquiry sessions, and integration and reflection sessions โ€” typically held the last Tuesday of the month at 12pm Pacific, running 90 minutes. All sessions are recorded. You won't fall behind or be penalized for missing โ€” what matters is ongoing engagement over time, not perfect attendance.
Most coaches spend 2โ€“4 hours per month actively engaging with Sanctum โ€” attending or watching one live session, participating in Discord, and reflecting on what's shifting in their teaching. The real time investment happens inside your existing coaching, not on top of it. There are no assignments, no deadlines, and no minimum hours. Sanctum is built for sustainability, not hustle.
Yes to both. Sanctum is absolutely open to part-time coaches โ€” what matters is that you're actively teaching (even a few classes counts) and open to reflecting on how you show up. Being injured doesn't disqualify you either; many coaches come to Sanctum because injury has forced them to question how they train and teach. Sanctum does not require you to be training at full capacity. What it does assume is that you can engage in reflection, dialogue, and decision-making.
That's common โ€” and often why coaches seek out Sanctum. You're not expected to blow up your studio or confront everyone at once. The work is about discerning what you can responsibly change, understanding what isn't yours to carry, and learning how to advocate strategically rather than reactively. Sanctum doesn't promise harmony. It offers support, strategy, and clarity so you can navigate misalignment without burning bridges โ€” or burning yourself out.
Yes, you can cancel anytime before your next billing date โ€” through your Circus Mobility portal or via the cancellation form linked in every Sanctum email. There is no long-term contract. However, Sanctum's current pricing cannot be paused and resumed. If you cancel, you're welcome to rejoin later at whatever rate is available at that time. The Parish may be paused once a year for up to 60 days.
The Parish primarily serves intermediate-to-advanced aerialists and coaches, but our inclusive approach makes it a fit for anyone who craves community and a smarter training approach. Sanctum is organized around coaching readiness, not aerial skill level. As for disability โ€” both spaces are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where members of all abilities can thrive. Disability is not a barrier; it's a valid source of knowledge and perspective. If you have specific access needs, reach out before enrolling and we'll have a real conversation about it.
Circus Mobility exists to train the next wave of aerial coaches to move, teach, and lead without wrecked bodies, bro science, or self-sacrifice. We support nervous-system-first training and coaching, replace hierarchy and control with discernment and consent, and help coaches build sustainable practices that last decades. We believe technique is not a loyalty oath, safety is built through consent not commandments, and good coaching responds โ€” bad coaching just repeats itself.

Already taking classes?
Good. Keep going.

But if you're searching for something your local studio can't give you โ€” deep expertise, real inclusion, zero politics, and a community that gets nerdy about YOUR body โ€” that's what The Parish is for.

We're those bitches. Come join us.
